Introducing Eve

IMG_20171004_155118 (1)IMG_20171003_114634 We recently welcomed the newest member to our lab. Eve is a Discrete Multi-Chemistry Analyzer AQ2 from SEAL Analytical, and hopefully, she will help us rock through our water chemistry and clean out our freezers. Johann, from SEAL, visited for 3 days to set up and show us how to operate Eve. Myself and Emily Shaw were trained on operation and maintenance. We learned how to run phosphate, nitrate, and nitrite tests.  Set up takes a little bit of time but eve will be able to run around 50 samples at a time as well as perform different tests simultaneously.   As cool as Eve is I would have to say the best part is I got a certificate for the training. This week I am running her on my own. She is a little needy in terms of maintenance but well wIMG_20171012_140942_684orth the trouble.
